Gallery

Create a gallery quickly from a list of image files with the gallery tool. Choose the initial view mode: mosaic or slideshow.

In mosaic mode, thumbnails are automatically generated from the originals and organized in a list. The user can click on any thumbnail to view the full-size image, and then go back to the mosaic mode by clicking on the mosaic icon in the navigation border on the bottom.

Images load automatically following a set order and speed in Slideshow mode. The delay must be long enough for the image to load in the browser. The necessary time will vary according to the size of the images and speed of the user's Internet connection.

The navigation border allows the user to switch from one mode to another and change the speed. You may prefer not to make the navigation border appear, to insert a slideshow in a banner for instance. In that case, the user will not be able to switch modes or set the speed, so make sure you test the result with different configurations.

To add images in the gallery, click on the folder to select the images you wish to add. You can add several at a time by using the CTRL or SHIFT keys, then Open.

Image Size:

Keep the original image sizes, or resize all the images to the same format (three available choices).

Warning: If you try to assign an image a bigger size then its original size, it may be distorted.

Check the result in View mode. Since images can be long to load in a page, try to use the smallest size that gives you the visual results you are looking for.

You can delete any files in the list of images, or move them with the arrows on the right. The order in the list corresponds to their order of appearance.

By default, the image description is the name of the file, but you can type in a description of your choice. You can also add transition effects to the images.

The background of the gallery is transparent. You can put a box behind it to separate it from the rest of the page's contents. Try using a light color to improve the navigation bar readability, especially if the background is dark.

The entire gallery is resizable. Images will be shrunk or stretched if you pull the sides or corners. Test the result to make sure that they are not distorted in the process. A scrollbar will appear in the thumbnail list if the gallery isn't wide enough for all of the thumbnails to appear.
