To insert a counter, click on the:
Insert/Counter menu.
Counter button on the Toolbar.
The Selection toolbar displays the following properties:
Appearance and disappearance
Visible: If True, the counter will be displayed once the page downloads. If False, the counter will be invisible till an action (press a button, click on the mouse, etc.) displays it. Click on the down arrow to choose False or True.
Element
Html Code: Counters are based on HTML or JavaScript code. You can find them on specialized Web sites. Simply type “counter” in Google. You can copy the code you find in the JavaScript window of Web Creator. We strongly suggest that you test any counter you put on your site before uploading the site to the Web.
Options
Height: Specifies the height of the counter, in pixels.
Name: Specifies the name of the counter.
Width: Specifies the width of the counter, in pixels.
X: Specifies the horizontal position of the counter in the browser.
Y: Specifies the vertical position of the counter in the browser.
To insert a counter
This box allows you to insert a counter on the current page. Several Web sites offer counters, based on HTML or JavaScript code. Some are rudimentary whereas others are more sophisticated.
Because of this large variety, we can’t guarantee that they will work properly. The only way to know is to pick one and test it.
Copy the code in the JavaScript window and click on OK. To have a preview of how it works, click on Preview in Internet Explorer tab, don’t forget to check again once the site is on line.
